04 Aug Find your why

The-purpose-of-life-is-a-life-of-purpose.

Everyone is unique, and this is about finding out what you want to be doing… not what you feel you should be doing.

Thanks for the pic and a short but sweet article Lifehack.

I love the exercise below, it’s great to just get an overview. The job after might me more challenging, but getting rid of the the hate doing column will free up a lot of your energy!

28 Jul What got you here won’t get you there

I’m intrigued by this Blogpost  about how we need to change the stimuli in order to get a new response.

Its a bit long and wordy, the paragraph below is the one that makes it worthwhile to me.

The amount of work that you need to do to reach your maximum level of output is higher than what you are doing now. Unless you are already performing at 100 percent of your potential, you have room to grow. And the Repeated Bout Effect tells us that you have probably adapted to all of the normal stimuli in your life. If you want to reach a new level of success then you need to put in a new level of work. This does not mean you should start by doing as much work as possible, but it does mean that when you start small you can’t expect one small change to work forever. You have to continually graduate to the next level.

27 Jul Having a higher purpose

Many gurus talks about the importance of having a higher goal in life, according to Joe Dispenza it’s the number one way of staying motivated.

This guy took that on, his mission is to raise awareness to obese kids in the US, and did 50 iron mans in 50 days, in 50 states.  I don’t know how effective it is, but to find motivation to push yourself like this… wow

And if you’re like me and want to geek out, have a look at his stats covering all sorts of weird data.

27 Jul The secret to happiness is in our friends friends?

Bakedesuyo summed up the talk like this:

  • Hang out with the people you want to be: Behaviors spread like a virus. Make sure it’s one you want to be infected with.
  • Make more friends. Time spent making friends has a higher happiness ROI than time spent making money.
  • Introduce friends to friends. Friends becoming happy increases your chance of happiness by 45%. Keeping the network happy protects you against unhappiness.

If you’re more of a reader than a viewer, the blogpost opens up some new doors outside the network thinking.

25 Jul Productivity starts with happiness!

I love this Ted Talk, not only because it’s funny and it’s a bit like stepping into a whirlwind, he’s speed is incredible.
I’ve spent plenty of time finding tools to help me become more productive, but the real shift happened when I changed my view on what I do, all of a sudden, inbox zero was standard and not a once a year opportunity.
Have a look and test the tips in the end, they’re great tools.

Far far away, behind the word mountains, far from the countries Vokalia and Consonantia, there live the blind texts. Separated they live in Bookmarksgrove right at the coast of the Semantics, a large language ocean. A small river named Duden flows by their place and supplies it with the necessary regelialia. It is a paradisematic country, in which roasted parts of sentences fly into your mouth. Even the all-powerful Pointing has no control about the blind texts it is an almost unorthographic life One day however a small line of blind text by the name of Lorem Ipsum decided to leave for the far World of Grammar.
